YOUR DATA. YOUR CHOICES.

Keep your words.
Keep your say.

Keeping, organizing, sharing access and syncing are separate choices. One switch should not open your archive to everything.

FOUR CHOICES. SEPARATE PERMISSIONS.

Decide separately what is kept, processed, read and synced.

01

Your local archive

Capture, find, edit and organize manually.

02

Allow AI organization

Use necessary material with processing permission.

03

Allow external AI access

Choose access to cards and topics separately.

04

Sync to your cloud account

Opt in to recovery within the same ecosystem.

01

Everyday use
starts locally.

Capture, reading, search, working-text edits, manual Context management and local prompt reuse do not depend on PAIA’s remote AI service.

Local-first does not mean material can never leave your device. Organization and automatic maintenance require permission to process necessary material. External AI reading has separate permissions.

Use your own browser cloud account to continue with synced material across devices in the same ecosystem. No automatic cross-ecosystem sync or PAIA content-cloud account. Supported environments are described at the installation entry.

02

Make an edit.
Keep the original in view.

The archive retains source records while working text holds your edits. Ordinary editing does not overwrite the original source. Reversible reading filters are neither deletion nor permission.

WORKING VERSION · EXAMPLE

“Validate retrieval first. Leave collaboration out.”

Thought Library uses personal topics, sections and entries. The three AI organization styles are derived reading views: Original-first, Balanced and More concise. They must preserve sources, conditions and uncertainty, without overriding your names, moves, exclusions or writing.

Four cards.
Separate controls.

01

My Information

The background you want AI to know.

02

My Rules

Response preferences and task boundaries.

03

My Now

Current projects, recent context and changes.

04

My Inputs

Personal topics allowed for deeper reading.

Connecting an AI does not open access automatically. Once allowed, it may read eligible content on demand, without a Context packet assembled for every task. A closed topic does not grant fallback access to the entire Input Archive.

What happens when I pause or close access?

Pausing retains your card and topic choices while stopping future reads. Withdrawal cannot recall content already delivered to an external AI.

Closing a topic changes only that topic’s access. Independent items saved in other cards keep their own controls. Opening a lower scope does not open its parent automatically.

04

Every management action
has its own meaning.

Filtering, removing a topic placement, removing an archive record and permanent deletion are different actions. PAIA and the source platform hold separate copies; deletion in one does not automatically delete the other.

Importing official history, recovering an existing file and recovering from a failure are different operations. Sync is not unlimited backup history, and read access is not permission to generate or share a content package.

Keep the original platform or another independent source for important material. Local storage does not imply encryption or guaranteed permanent preservation.

05

This website does not
connect to your archive.

There are no analytics scripts, ad trackers or remote fonts. Product examples use current-page memory and clear on reload.

Only submitting the contact form sends its fields through FormSubmit to the contact email. Hosting and the form service have their own data-processing boundaries.
