Everyday work stays local
The core archive lives in local extension storage. Reading, editing, lexical search, and context preparation do not require external AI. Keep independent backups of important data.
Originals, edits, and AI are distinct
Ordinary editing does not overwrite Source records. AI organization is another presentation, not permission to silently replace your work or treat a quotation as your belief.
Keeping is not permission to share
Optional external AI processing requires an explicit action. PAIA cannot recall copies you export or send elsewhere. Revocation only affects future access that PAIA controls.

A few things before you begin.
Does it collect drafts, AI replies, or Temporary Chats?
Current capture is bounded to eligible, displayed user text, not drafts, keystrokes, or AI replies by default. Temporary Chat is not automatically captured. Quoted or third-party text you send should not automatically become a personal belief.
Do I have to organize every input?
No. Browsing, reading, and searching the archive are useful on their own. Topics and optional AI organization help you understand material; they are not prerequisites for using it again.
Can I take my material with me?
The current code provides open export and backup paths. Export is for portable material; backup is for restoring a library. They are different. During beta, do not use PAIA as your only copy of important data; support limits and restore verification are still being refined.
Will my AI automatically see the archive?
No. The reuse path shown here is deliberate selection, review, then copy or export. A real external AI connector is a future direction. A preview is not a transmission.
